“With the release of long-awaited industry guidelines by the Canadian Association of Supervisory Authorities (CAPSA) on September 9, 2024, sponsors and administrators of retirement plans across Canada have some homework to do. Significant updates have been made to Guideline No. 3 - Guideline for Capital Accumulation Plans (CAP Guideline) to better reflect the state of the financial services marketplace. For pension plan administrators, an all-new Guideline No. 10 – Guideline for Risk Management for Plan Administrators (Risk Guideline) requires the establishment of risk management frameworks that give careful attention to a range of important topics affecting plans today.”
